Pepito

Really, the scanned image is 100% better than the original. I'm thinking if I add a glossy medium to the whole thing it will look more like the scan. I used lots of iridescent medium on this little painting and do like how the whole thing sparkles!

TATC no. 2

This is the TATC I made for Dianne. In 1988 I took my mother and 11 year old son, Adam on a trip to Cancun on the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico. We took a day trip to Chichen Itza to explore the ancient Mayan ruins and climb the "Castillo" or Temple of Kukulcan. Inside the temple there is an inner temple where a throne in the shape of a jade encrusted red leopard sat. Amazing!
This trip is not only memorable because of the pyramid and fun beach time but because we got caught in hurricane Gilbert and the story about how we made it back home would fill a book!
OK, Dianne, your turn next!

As Art Trading Card newbies, Dianne came up with the idea to begin an exchange between the two of us of travel places. We didn't set up much guidelines other than they be ATC size (2.5x3.5 inches) , we will call them TATCs (the T for travel), they be mailed and that as we get one we reciprocate.....with no time limits! This could go on for years!
This card of a statue in the Boboli Gardens in Florence is Dianne's first sent to me. She told me her mother and a friend traveled extensively through Italy sometime back. She based this card on a photo from mom's trip. I will be in Italy in October 2007 and will make it my mission to find the statue!
